Say a special 'Thank You' for the chance to win a Cadbury treat

These kind posts show everything's coming up Roses

Who will you say "Thank You" to?

Is there someone you'd like to publicly thank for an act of kindness?

Perhaps a fellow commute who made your journey to work a little bit more enjoyable. Or a shop assistant who helped you choose the perfect outfit.

As part of our campaign to inspire more everything little "thank yous" across Britain, we've partnered with Cadbury Roses and created a column to let people share their gratitude.

We're encouraging our army of readers to say more "thank yous" to more people, more often.

After all, it can be easy to forget how important it is to say "thank you" to someone!

And to act as a little reminder, we're also keeping an eye out for good news stories where we think one person has any exceptionally good reason.

Below are this week's messages of thanks...

Greta with mum

“I would like to say a big thank you to my mum for recently driving me to Manchester Airport, so I didn’t have to use my own money to pay for a train ticket to get there. Thank you mum, you’re so thoughtful and I wouldn’t know what to do without you.”

Greta Swift, Leeds

“Thank you Alex for being the only person who can make a cup of coffee exactly the way I like it. Looking after a baby and a toddler can be hard work but you make it all so much easier!”

Jody Elphick, London

Usher and Bridesman

“Thank you Ed ‘the usher’ Richardson and his partner Daniel ‘bridesman’ Davis, above, for making our wedding day so special, and for the hours spent making beautiful handmade signs and looking after our guests. You are two of the best friends me and my new husband could have!”

Clare Benson, London

Thanks, Vicky!

“I’d love to give a massive thanks to my cousin Vicky for constantly looking out for me and my brother over the last couple of years - we would be lost without you!”

James O’Reilly, Oldham

“I would just like to say a big thank you to my wife Sue for putting up with me for the last 40-odd years, and for all the love, happiness and support she has given me along the way.”

David Dunlop, Wallsend

How to get your message in the newspaper and online

To be in with a chance of seeing your 'thank you' message in print and online, you can also email us your stories to thankyou@trinitymirror.com or tweet us using #madeuthank. and if published, we'll send you a box of Cadbury Roses.

Perhaps a big-hearted commuter unexpectedly returned your lost wallet, or a stranger helped you pitch your tent at a music festival, fixed your broken bike when you were late for work or lent you some money for a taxi home.

It might be that you don't know the names of the person or people who helped you. That doesn't matter.

We want to hear about these everyday gestures that would otherwise go unnoticed, but which deserve to be told.

The closing date for submissions is 13th September 2017. We are aiming to publish between 8 to 10 stories each week. All stories will be published by 30th September 2017, with a box of Roses sent to published contributors within two weeks of the publication date.

Use the email above and tell us about your experiences in a few words - a sentence or two will do. You can also upload a photograph if you would like this included. The best stories of everyday thanks will be selected and if your letter is published we'll reward you with a free box of Cadbury Roses!
