Twenty cars destroyed in fire at Smethwick scrapyard
Twenty cars were destroyed in a scrapyard fire in Smethwick – the fourth blaze of its kind in the Black Country this week.

Five fire crews were called to the site in Roebuck Lane just after 11.30pm yesterday and took four hours to clear the scene.
West Midlands Fire Service said an office at the yard was also on fire. Nearby residents said the flames reached about 30ft high.
It was the fourth scrapyard fire in the region this week.
