Halesowen College say they're hoping to deliver the gift of Christmas cheer to children and families in the area by working with the Salvation Army to deliver toys and gifts.

They say in support of the appeal, the college will be taking their digital bus ‘CEDRIC’ out and about in Halesowen and they will be reaching out to local people and businesses who want to donate gifts during the week commencing December 2.

The bus will pitch up at Somers Square in Halesowen on Friday, December 6, and they say donations of children’s toys and gifts for teenagers are welcomed.

All donations received will be gifted to the Salvation Army, a respected charity renowned for its dedication to helping those less fortunate. Donations of children’s toys and gifts for teenagers are welcomed.

“Christmas is a special time of the year, but for many it can be difficult," said Jacquie Carman, Chief Executive and Principal at Halesowen College.

"We hope that our Christmas Appeal will go some way in supporting families and to spread the good will of Halesowen College and the wider community, that lays at the heart of Christmas spirit.”

The college says that between December 10-18, the bus will also be visiting various locations where people can speak to staff about how they can improve their digital literacy.
