Delivered in partnership with Ladder for the Black Country and sponsored by Compass Group UK and Ireland, the awards brought together some of the region's best apprentice talent and saw winners announced in categories across industry, ranging from construction and trades to healthcare, tech and hospitality firms.

Hosted by BBC Apprentice finalist Scarlett Allen-Horton, the event also shone the spotlight on the very best training providers in the West Midlands who were also recognised for their valuable work training up the region's workforce.

"As you can see from all the finalists here tonight, there are some incredible people shaping the future of our business community," Ms Allen-Horton told a packed audience.

"I want to say a big congratulations to all of our finalists, you should be extremely proud of yourselves for the hard work and for the dedication you have shown - a huge congratulations to you all."
