West Midlands Police's traffic team spotted the cloned vehicle this morning (April 21) with a child and partner in the passenger seats.

The driver was found to have his passengers in a potentially dangerous situation as he also had no license, insurance, tax or MOT.

However, he left them in an awkward situation instead as he fled the scene after being pulled over.

He has since been reported to children's services.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, police wrote: "C Team - ANPR Interceptors picked up this cloned van in Wolverhampton.

"The driver ran from the van leaving girlfriend and small baby in situ as he had no Licence/Insurance/Tax/MOT.

"Driver was reported and appropriate referrals to children’s safeguarding services have been made."
