West Midlands Police said a large knife and a bag of suspected illegal drugs were recovered near the scene.

The 17-year-old suspect, from Wednesfield, was brought into police custody and later charged with the offences of possession of an offensive weapon and obstructing a police officer.

He has been bailed to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on April 16.
