The bloke reportedly only had a provisional license when he was stopped by Staffordshire Police.

He had allegedly been driving unsupervised without 'L' plates for almost two decades until he was caught.

In a post on X, police said: "Driver been using his provisional licence unsupervised without L plates since 2006 Has never passed a test!

"He met our officer this evening and all that changed. Vehicle seized, driver reported."

The vehicle was seized as part of Operation Lightning - a  dedicated operation focusing on road safety, helping to make Staffordshire's roads safer.

It aims to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries on the roads and to disrupt and deter criminals from using the road network.
