A police officer with a speed measuring device caught Timothy Charlton hurtling along at racing speeds on the A41 at Hinstock, where the speed limit is 60mph, at 6.36pm on May 25.

The 60-year-old from Shaw Hall Lane in Heath, Wolverhampton, admitted speeding in a single justice procedure case at Worcester Justice Centre on September 25.

Court documents contained a statement from PC Paul Bedworth, the officer who clocked Charlton doing 112mph. He said that due to his position, overlooking the A41, he was not in a position to stop him, but informed a colleague, PC Chris Martin.
