Shocking footage released of moment pensioner is knocked down in hit-and-run
Police have released shocking CCTV footage after a pensioner was involved in a hit-and-run.
It shows the moment the woman, in her eighties, was hit by a white van near to Lichfield Garrick Theatre on Castle Dyke.
The woman was hit at around 10.30am on Friday, February 25, by a van driver who failed to stop.
Staffordshire Police has said she was taken to hospital with a serious ankle injury.
Any witnesses, or anyone with any information, is asked to contact police via 101, or report online, quoting incident number 217 of 25 February.
