Moped, van and car drivers involved in Brierley Hill violence

Violence broke out on a Black Country street when a moped rider was knocked off his bike by a car.

The moped rider and several other people attacked the driver of the car after the crash in Brierley Hill on Thursday.

The incident began when the moped rider was knocked over by a Volkswagen Golf on Wallows Road just before 8pm, West Midlands Police said.

A white van then pulled up alongside the moped and the moped rider and people who were in the van attacked the driver of the VW Golf before fleeing.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on nearby Highgate Road on suspicion of assault.

The suspect remained in custody on Friday while no other suspects have been arrested.
