Man arrested after allegedly punching police officer in face
A man has been arrested after allegedly punching a police officer in the face.
West Midlands Police attended an address on Beaumont Road, in Wednesbury at around 7am this morning after receiving a call from someone expressing concern for a woman's safety.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the location on suspicion of domestic assault.
During the arrest, it is alleged he lashed out at a police officer, punching them in the face.
The man was arrested on suspicion of assault and assaulting a police officer.
He remains in custody.
