WATCH: Delivery driver clings to van as vehicle is stolen in West Bromwich
A man delivering parcels in West Bromwich was injured during a robbery – as he clung to the van to stop it being stolen.
The victim had got out of the white Peugeot Partner van to deliver a parcel in Pemberton Road, just before noon on Saturday, December 5, when a thief got into the van.
CCTV footage shows how the victim clung onto the bonnet of the van – before the robber drove onto Mayrick Road.
The victim fell off the van and the thief drove away.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for a badly sprained ankle.

It’s believed the thief had arrived at the scene in a white Peugeot 208, which was driven away by a second person.
West Midlands Police are now speaking to witnesses and examining CCTV footage, but urged anyone who witnessed the robbery to contact them.

The force is warning delivery drivers to be on their guard – after a spate of robberies targeting them and postal workers as they get busier in the run up to Christmas.
On December 3, a 20-year-old driver was attacked and knocked unconscious by two masked men in Gibbons Road, in Selly Oak, who stole and used his bank card. He was left with a suspected broken jaw.
Officers have also seen a spate of robberies of food deliveries, both from supermarkets and fast food outlets, in the Bartley Green area in the last month.
And in November in Walsall and Wolverhampton alone, the force received reports of 10 delivery vehicle thefts in just 10 days.
Delivery drivers are being urged not to leave their keys in the vehicle or the engines running, or their vehicles unlocked.
