Woman denies stabbing teenage girl in Walsall attack
A woman charged with stabbing a teenager in the head and neck in Waslall has pleaded not guilty to the attack.
A17-year-old girl was stabbed in Bridge Street, in Walsall town centre, at around 4.15pm on August 4.
She was taken to hospital with injuries to her neck and head which were not believed to be life threatening.
Maariya Arif, of Friary Close, Walsall, was charged with wounding and possession of a knife.
The 19-year-old appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court today where she denied the charges against her.
She was remanded in custody with a trial date fixed for March 10, 2021.
