Man falls from height during chase with masked motorbike robbers in Bridgnorth

An air ambulance was sent to Bridgnorth after a man fell from a considerable height while being chased by masked robbers in broad daylight.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was threatened by two men on a motorbike wearing helmets and black clothing at about 1.40pm yesterday.

In an attempt to flee one of the robbers, the victim fell from height down Hollybush Road and suffered minor injuries.

Police were on scene before calling West Midlands Ambulance Service at about 2pm.

One ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to treat the man, who declined medical attention.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called by the police at 2pm yesterday afternoon to Hollybush Road, Bridgnorth, after reports of a man who had fallen from height.

"An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.

"Ambulance staff assessed the man, who was fully conscious and alert, and found he had suffered minor injuries. The man declined treatment and was discharged on scene."

A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at around 1.40pm to Hollybush Road in Bridgnorth to reports of an attempted robbery.

"The victim, a man in his 20s, was threatened by two men on a motorbike wearing helmets and black clothing. One of the suspects chased the victim who fell and suffered minor injuries."
