Jack Grealish charged by police over Range Rover crash
Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has been charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to stop at the scene of a crash.
The 24-year-old is accused of the offences after a crash involving a white Range Rover in Solihull on March 29.
Police were called to reports of a Range Rover hitting two parked cars in Waterside, Dickens Heath, just before 10am.
The incident happened two weeks after the strictest of the coronavirus lockdown laws were put in place, banning all but essential travel.
The two parked cars were left with minor damage.
Grealish, of Barnt Green, Worcestershire, has been postal charged to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on August 25.
West Midlands Police announced the news the day after relegation-threatened Aston Villa restarted their Premier League campaign with a 0-0 draw at home to Sheffield United.
The league had been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March.
