Man denies attempted murder in alleged road rage attack
A driver has denied trying to kill a man who was run over in an alleged road rage attack in Walsall.
Assad Hussain, aged 27, suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a car near the Tesco Extra petrol station on Little Albert Street.
Darnell Sturk, 22, is accused of deliberately driving at the victim at around 5.30pm on December 19.
Sturk, of Pommell Close, Walsall, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address and to enter his plea during the short hearing at the city's court.
He is due to stand trial on April 14 and was released on conditional bail.
