Teenager stabbed in attempted robbery at Smethwick's Thimblemill Brook
A teenager was stabbed in an attempted robbery at a beauty spot in Smethwick.

Police cordoned off a pathway at Thimblemill Brook, off Norman Road, near Bearwood, on Tuesday evening.
Officers closed off the footpath after an 18-year-old man was injured at around 4.35pm.
The cordoned remained in place into Wednesday as a investigation was launched.

An 18-year-old was found on Norman Road at the junction with Pheasant Road with stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Police believe he was attacked by two men on a bridge close to Broadmoor Avenue.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "An investigation is underway and a cordon was in place for some time to allow for forensic investigators to collect evidence. A car has also been seized for analysis."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said crews at the scene included specialises in the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car.
