Missing parcels plea after hit-and-run crash left driver seriously injured
More than 100 parcels were stolen during a raid which left a 22-year-old man with life changing injuries.
Police say he was knocked down in Paradise Lane, Slade Heath, near Featherstone, by an LDV open back truck carrying scrap metal and old domestic appliances while trying to stop the theft of his plain white Ford Transit van around midday on March 4.
Around 130 packages were missing from the vehicle when it was found in a car park at Parker Street, Bloxwich hours later.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone that may have information about the whereabouts of the parcels which they believe were removed from the van after 1pm that day.
Detective Inspector Neil Poultney, senior investigating officer for Staffordshire Police, said: "We believe they will have either been dumped or sold in bulk.
"Therefore, we are asking for anyone that has been offered any items in suspicious circumstances for low value to contact us immediately.
"Alternatively, if you know of someone who may suddenly be storing a lot of items or has information about the stolen items' whereabouts, please get in touch.
"We are also repeating our appeal for anyone who was travelling in Paradise Lane or nearby at that time who may have any dashcam footage or CCTV to again get in touch."

Two men and a woman have appeared in court over the incident in which the man was hurt.
