Man charged with drink-driving after boy, 2, hit by van

A man has been charged with drink-driving and driving without a licence after a two-year-old boy was hit by a van in Brownhills.

The boy was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital

Jason Williams was due to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today (thurs). The toddler was taken to hospital with a head injury after being struck at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.

The 48-year-old, of Queen Street, Chasetown, Burntwood, is also charged with failing to stop after a road accident.
