Birmingham murder suspect released on police bail
A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in Birmingham has been released on police bail.
The 44-year-old woman was found with serious head injuries at an address in Albert Road, Handsworth on Wednesday morning and died the following night in hospital.
Police are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of Albert Road overnight between Tuesday, January 22, and Wednesday, January 23, to get in touch.
They are keen to know whether anyone saw a woman with a head injury or witnessed any kind of disorder on the night in question.
The body of the woman has not yet been formally identified, but next of kin have been informed and are being supported at this time.
