Man hurt as yobs cause trouble outside Stafford McDonald's

A man was hurt as a gang of youths caused trouble in Stafford town centre.

Police were called to deal with a group of up to 15 yobs outside McDonald's on Greengate Street.

A man suffered a minor head injury as trouble flared outside the fast food restaurant at around 7.25pm on Monday.

Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were initially arrested before being let go by police.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called at 7.25pm to reports of antisocial behaviour from a group of youths outside the McDonald's on Greengate Street in Stafford.

"We also received reports of a man being assaulted. He sustained a minor head injury.

"Two boys, aged 16 and 17, and from the Stafford area were arrested and then later de-arrested in connection with the incident. A full investigation is under way and inquiries are ongoing.

"Any witnesses should call 101."
