Ex-West Midlands Police officer Lee Bartram admits indecent images charges
A former police inspector sacked for making indecent images of children has pleaded guilty to new charges of making indecent images of children dating back seven years.
Lee Bartram, of West Bromwich, is also accused of misconduct in public office to which he is yet to plead.
The case against the 44-year-old was adjourned at Wolverhampton Crown Court until next February.
The charges are in addition to offences he admitted at the same court in August, involving the making and distributing of more than 300 indecent images of children, including a boy aged just six years old.
The new charges include making three category B still photographs, nine category B moving images and 134 category C still photographs between October 23, 2011, and August 6 this year.
The disgraced former officer, of Bustleholme Lane, West Bromwich, spoke only to confirm his personal details at the 20-minute hearing and to enter guilty pleas to the new counts.
Extending the 44-year-old's bail, Judge James Burbidge, QC, removed a condition of residence which restricted him to living at his home address.
Bartram's next appearance will be on February 14.
The judge told him: "You have already seen a probation officer so the case could proceed to sentence on that day.
"You should be prepared for that. I don't hold out any particular sentence to you, it's a matter for the sentencing judge."
Bartram was dismissed for gross misconduct at a hearing held at West Midlands Police headquarters in Birmingham. He has been put on the Sex Offenders Register.
