Police investigate claim woman kidnapped in Wednesbury street
Police are investigating an alleged kidnapping after reports that a woman was forced into a car by a group of men in Wednesbury.
A woman’s screams were heard in a car park outside Aston Court, off Crankhall Lane, after 1am on Sunday.
Four men were said to be surrounding the woman, shouting at her before pushing her into a white Ford Fiesta and driving off at speed.
The men drove off into Crankhall Lane and heading towards the island with Hall Green Road.
The woman is described as white and the four men as black.
Police arrested a man, but he has since been eliminated from the investigation.
They said no-one has been reported missing and they have had no further reports of the incident.
Pc Indi Basra, of West Midlands Police, said: “We are very concerned for the welfare of this woman and have been carrying out enquiries to try to find out who she is.
"So far, we have not been able to trace her and we are now appealing for her to come forward, so we can make sure she is safe.”
