Murder suspect charged three weeks after Walsall man found dead

A man has been charged with the murder of Walsall man Edwin Bradley.

Darren Barnes, aged 47 and of no fixed address, was arrested in Derbyshire on Friday on suspicion of murdering Mr Bradley, who was found dead three weeks ago.

Barnes appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court this morning charged with murder.

It comes after Mr Bradley, 65, was found with serious head injuries at his home in St Thomas Close in Coalpool, Walsall, on July 6. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were alerted by concerned neighbours who had not seen him for days.
