Nicked! WATCH the moment cop chases down runaway suspect - on his own bike
Watch the moment a police officer grabs a bike dropped by a suspect and chases him down in the street.
The video footage was captured on a body cam worn by the officer in Birmingham.
Police tweeted: "Here at Birmingham East response, we love commandeering vehicles. Imagine being a crook, halfway through a crime, and seeing a police car. You drop your bike and run away, only to see a cop chasing you down on your own pushbike. 1 in custody for smashing a store front up."
Chief Superintedent Chris Todd, director of intelligence at West Midlands Police, messaged the response unit to compliment them on “great work”.
“Everyone’s got the #TourdeFrance2018 bug!” he tweeted.
