School warning after girl approached by group in car
A school has issued a warning after reports of girl being approached by three men who asked her to get into their car.
Oldbury Academy took to social media to warn parents after the incident, which is being investigated by police.
It is believed the girl was walking home along Garratt's Lane, between Old Hill and Rowley Regis.
Staff tweeted to say a car stopped nearby and three men asked her to get inside.
The men, described as Asian, allegedly turned the black BMW saloon around when the girl refused to get in and followed her.
One of the men then allegedly told the other two to get out and grab her before she ran away to safety.
The incident happened at around 11.30am yesterday.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said the men did not threaten the girl and there was no physical contact.
"Enquiries are on-going and we would urge anyone with information to get in touch," the spokesman added.
"The girl did the right thing by telling her parents about the incident and has clearly remembered the stranger danger messages given by family and the school."
