West Mercia Police carried out a drugs warrant at a home in Lydbury Close, Stirchley.

Officers removed about 20 large bags of cannabis from the home.

The local Safer Neighbourhood Team tweeted: "That is a lot of cannabis taken off our streets."

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Information from members of the community can often be key to our success in arresting and convicting drug dealers. It can be used to support search warrants carried out where drugs are seized and destroyed.

"Some drug dealers may target the homes of vulnerable, lonely and isolated people which they then may use for drug dealing, this is known as cuckooing.

"Please include a description of the people visiting, the times they are visiting and the vehicles they are using, please do not put yourself in danger. Officers will then gather evidence about your report."

The police are urging anyone who has witnessed suspicious activity to police on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
