West Park murder: Tributes paid to Viktorija Sokolova as fund for family tops £4,300

Tributes have been paid online to a 14-year-old girl who was murdered in Wolverhampton as a crowdfunding campaign set up for her family topped £4,300.

Viktorija Sokolova was reported missing on Wednesday, but found dead just after 7am on Thursday in West Park. A post mortem examination concluded she died from blunt force trauma to her head.

Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, remain in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of her murder.

Bethany Zielinskj, who set up the crowdfunding appeal wrote: "We are trying to help Tori’s parents out as much as we can so Tori can have the best send off ever. She will be missed by everyone. You will never been forgotten, love u millions,"

Rachel Bradbury posted: "Tori was a lovely young lady and would be very honoured of everyone that has donated. I hope she knew how many people cared about her. Sleep tight little angel x."
