Mrs Kaur, who ran a sewing business from the family home in Pennfields, was found when her husband arrived home after picking up his children from school.

An inquest, which opened on Tuesday, heard Mrs Kaur had died from asphyxiation.

Two men, aged 42 and 32, and a 39-year-old woman were arrested at addresses across the Wolverhampton area on Tuesday night.

West Midlands Police said the group remained in custody on Wednesday afternoon for questioning.

Mrs Kaur, aged 38, was discovered at her Rookery Lane home at around 4pm on February 16.

Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, from Force CID, said: "We are determined to establish the truth around the death of Mrs Kaur and these arrests are a significant development in our investigation.

"However, we continue to appeal for anyone with information which may assist us in this investigation to get in touch by calling us on 101."
