The suspects reversed up the drive of the house in a black 3 series BMW.

They jumped out and smashed the rear doors of a house with a sledgehammer to gain entry.

Two teenagers were in the house at the time and were made to lie on the floor whilst the offenders demanded money and jewellery – making off with what police described as 'a quantity' of the latter.

At 4.45pm a black BMW 3 series was seen driving at speed down Hillwood Common Road towards Lichfield Road after the incident on February 16.

The gang was caught on camera both inside and outside of the property.

Det Con Nigel Box, from Force CID, said: "This was in broad daylight at a busy time of day when many people would have been returning home from work or school.

"I would urge anyone who might have seen the BMW or has any information to get in touch.

"The boys in the address at the time are understandably upset and shaken but luckily they were not hurt. Help us find these individuals."

Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101 quoting crime number of 20BE/37882P/18.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
