Amirul Haque is on trial for five charges of sexual assault

The woman told a jury Amirul Haque pressed his groin into her back as he examined her neck from behind and asked her to bend over.

The 33-year-old doctor is accused of sexually assaulting five women he was supposed to be treating at a Dudley practice.

The patient, who cannot be identified, said she was in the doctor's room for about half an hour and was left shocked when she left and questioning whether what Haque allegedly did to her was right.

She said he pulled her towards him as he stood behind her and 'thrust' himself up and down on her. She said she felt confused and pulled herself away.

The complainant decided to report what had happened to the practice later that day in January 2016.

The woman revealed she then had to take her son in to see Haque immediately after he alleged ordeal, as he also had an appointment with him.

She told Wolverhampton Crown Court: "I couldn't believe what had just happened to me and I didn't know if it was right for a doctor to do that when I only went in with a sore throat. I was in shock.

"I didn't understand why he needed to roll down my trousers down for a sore throat."

She described being asked to bend over a second time but refused.

She told the jury: "He said I needed to do it again but I refused. I said I did kick-boxing so I know full well how to bend down and touch my toes."

Haque was suspended after complaints about his behaviour from two women patients and was arrested four days later as the number of complainants reached five.

The jury previously heard from another female patient who claimed Haque examined her breasts after going to see him about her swollen ankles.

Haque told police he denied the allegations and claimed 'any touching of the patients would purely be for medical examination not sexual gratification'.

The trainee GP, of Ladypool Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, denies five charges of sexual assault.

The trial continues.
