Man injured in third Wolverhampton stabbing in four days
A man was injured as Wolverhampton was rocked by its third stabbing in four days.
The victim, in his 20s, was knifed four times in Lime Street Park in Pennfields - just a short distance from where two schoolboys were stabbed on Friday.
The park was sealed off as forensic teams carried out searches following the latest stabbing at around 5.30pm on Monday.
The injured man was taken to Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital. Police said his condition was not thought to be life-threatening.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a man in his 20s had been stabbed in Lime Street Park.
"He was taken to New Cross Hospital for treatment for four suspected stab wounds.
"Officers cordoned off the park and forensic examinations and investigations are continuing.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log number 7127 of January 29."
A 14-year-old boy was found injured in nearby Owen Road after being stabbed in the stomach.
Another boy, aged 15, suffered wounds to his hand and leg in another stabbing yards away in Ashland Street.
