Man charged with murdering his partner in Netherton

Police have named the woman who died after being found with serious injuries at a house on Cinder Bank on Wednesday as Claire Harris.

Ricardo Wilson, aged 50 of Cinder Bank, was due to appear in court this morning charged with murder.

Ambulance crews battled to save Ms Harris but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

West Midlands Police said her family were continuing to be supported by specialist officers.

The force has appealed for anyone with information to call 101.
