But the Metropolitan Police says it is aware of allegations racist abuse directed at a player at The New Den and is speaking to both clubs on the matter.

It comes after anti-racism charity Kick It Out demanded an urgent investigation after receiving 'several' reports of racism at the game.

Metropolitan Police spokesman Peter Davey said: "No formal complaints have been received. Enquiries are ongoing and both clubs are currently being spoken to by police to establish the facts of the alleged incident."
