Machetes seized as police stop stolen car in Dudley

Four knives and class A drugs were seized after police stopped a stolen car.

Officers on a routine patrol in Dudley noticed a car driving erratically down Grange Road where it failed to stop.

The vehicle also flagged up on the police's automatic number plate recognition system having recently being stolen in a burglary.

Officers gave chase and after a short pursuit they arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

But following a further search they recovered three machetes, a lock knife and class A drugs.

The teenager was taken into in custody for questioning.
