No shame as killer driver appears in prison video days after sentence - WATCH

Kamran Raja was driving his four-litre Audi Quattro S4 at 79mph on the 40mph Wolverhampton Road when he crashed with a Honda Jazz being driven by 85-year-old Edward Harris, who later died in hospital.

On September 13, Raja was jailed after dramatically changing his plea part way through his trial.

The video, which has been posted online, shows Raja standing in front of a group of prisoners and making threats to someone referred to as ‘Gucci’. Most of the men in the video have their faces covered but Raja can be clearly identified. He repeatedly swears and gestures with his middle finger. In the video, he says: “Yo! You can chat the chat right, but when it comes to walk with us right, you ain’t got the capacity.

“You ain’t got clout. You ain’t ready for HMP!”

G4S, which operates HMP Birmingham, confirmed it is Raja in the video and said it was now working to have the video taken down.

Prison director, Richard Stedman, said: “There is no place for mobile phones in prison. Following the search of a prisoner’s accommodation, a mobile phone was found, which has been passed as evidence to West Midlands Police, who are investigating.

"The Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service digital investigations team is working to get the content removed.”

Users on Facebook, where the video has been posted, have reacted to the video.

Badar Ali, posted: “What a disgrace, killed an innocent elderly man and he raves on in a prison cell like he is living on some fancy island. Should have been locked up for a lot longer.”

Imtiaz Pandor, wrote: “What a bunch of idiots.”

The crash on April 2 last year was at the junction with Castle Road East, in Warley.

Mr Harris who had lived nearby, died the following day at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Raja, 37, of Gospel Farm Road, Acocks Green, was jailed for 10 years and disqualified from driving for five years after admitting to causing death by dangerous driving.
