12-year-old girl 'sexually assaulted' in Walsall

An urgent appeal for information has been launched after a 12-year-old girl was allegedly touched inappropriately in Walsall.

Police are appealing for information after the incident at Walsall Arboretum earlier this year, with a reward of up to £1,000 being offered.

The incident happened around midday on July 17.

Detectives have released a low-quality image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Although the image is of poor quality, officers hope it is clear enough to jog someone’s memory.

"The suspect is described as white with brown spikey hair. He was wearing dark clothing and black Adidas trainers at the time.

"If you think you recognise the person pictured please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote crime number 20WS/152910Y/17. Information given may lead to a reward of up to £1000."
