Man charged with murder after body driven to West Bromwich police station

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found in a car outside West Bromwich police station.

Sukhwinder Singh, aged 40, was charged by police today after the man's body was driven to the station yesterday morning.

Singh, of MacDonald Close, Tividale, will appear before Walsall Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

The dead man was in the passenger seat of a BMW when it pulled up at the station's car park on Moor Street at around 10.20am on Thursday.

Officers said they suspect the man, who is yet to be formally identified, died 'some time' before being driven to the police station.

Formal identification and a post mortem examination will take place in due course, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.
