Jewellery burglars sneak in through DOG FLAP

A burglary broke into a home through a dog flap before stealing jewellery and cash.

The burglary occurred between 7.45am on July 31 and 1.30pm on August 7 at a house on Lichfield Road, Pelsall, according to West Midlands Police.

After making their way into the house through the dog flap and taking the items, the burglar used a spare key from inside to leave.

Kevin Pitt, a West Midlands Police engagement and consultation officer for Walsall, said: "The offender has gained access to the rear garden and then into the house by climbing through a dog flap.

"Following a search of the house exit has been made by unlocking a rear door with a spare key.

"Various items including jewellery and cash have been stolen.
