Half-naked Stourbridge rugby fan exposed himself to girl, 14
A rugby fan who repeatedly exposed himself under the cover of asking for directions has failed in a bid to have his sentence reduced.
Jeremy Mark Randon, of Heather Drive, Stourbridge, spread panic among passers-by while prowling around in his car in the Welsh seaside town of Tywyn in October 2015.
The South African-born 41-year-old, who had just watched his team play in the Rugby World Cup, had been drinking and was depressed.
He approached five females - including a 14-year-old girl - while "naked from the waist down," London's Appeal Court heard.
Randon was handed a three-year community order at Mold Crown Court in December 2015 after admitting four counts of exposure and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
Also sentenced for drink driving, he was banned from the road for a year and ordered to sign on the sex offenders' register for five years.
In one incident, a 16-year-old girl described how Randon emerged from his car to ask for directions.
She noticed that he was completely naked below the waist and pleasuring himself while talking to her.
When finally arrested police noticed that Randon smelt of alcohol.
Randon's case reached the Appeal Court as he challenged his sentence, which he claimed was far too harsh.
But, rejecting his complaints, Judge Deborah Taylor QC said: "This application is wholly without merit."
The judge, sitting with Lord Justice Treacy and Mrs Justice Russell, concluded: "It is not arguable that these sentences were manifestly excessive .This application is refused."
