CCTV released after attack outside Smethwick pub
Two men are wanted by police after an assault on a group of people outside a pub.
The attack happened outside the Red Cow in Smethwick High Street on June 4.
CCTV images have been released of two men wanted in connection with the assault.
One of the victims was kicked in the head and left unconscious.
The 40-year-old was admitted to hospital for intensive emergency treatment.
He is now expected to make a full recovery.
Investigating Officer DC James Finnegan said: “This was a shocking unprovoked attack and the victim was left unconscious after sustaining a severe head injury.
“Thankfully he is on the road to recovery, but the outcome of this could have been far worse. Head injuries such as this can lead to permanent damage and even death.
“Please help us identify those responsible. It is clear they are violent individuals and we want to take these men off the streets.”
