Man stabbed in Wolverhampton city centre pub
A man was stabbed in the leg at a pub in Wolverhampton city centre.
West Midlands Police were called to the Goose pub, Lichfield Street, on Friday evening to reports of a man being stabbed and robbed of cash.
The force confirmed that his injuries were not life threatening and asked for the publics help in getting more information while they analyse CCTV footage.
Spokesperson Craig Hughes said: "We were called to reports a man was stabbed in the leg as he was robbed of cash at the Goose pub, Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton, at around 7.30pm on Friday June 23.
"The victim, aged in his 40s, suffered non-life threatening injuries and officers are now examining CCTV.
"Anyone with information is urged to call 101; quoting crime reference number 20WV/132253X/17."
Management at the pub, which was previously known as the Lady Wulfrun until 2013 and the Goose In The City before that, declined to comment in relation to the incident when contacted by the Express & Star.
