Masked men launch attack in burglary at Stafford home

A man was attacked by three masked men in his own home during an aggravated burglary.

Brazen thieves, all wearing masks, entered the property on Radford Bank, Stafford, before hitting the man with a blunt weapon.

He suffered facial injuries.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident – which happened at around 1.30pm on Thursday night.

An investigation into the incident is now underway.

Anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area last night is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 942 of May 8, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

It comes as the force urged residents to be on their guard and to review home and vehicle security following an increase in the number of burglaries in the county.
