Walsall police in CCTV appeal after armed robbery at a Co-op

West Midlands Police has released an image of a man as they continue investigations into an armed robbery,

Officers are appealing for information on the man, who they want to speak to in connection with the robbery at the Sutton Road Co-op in Walsall in April.

The man is seen on CCTV footage wearing a long black coat and is believed to have scoped out the store prior to two masked men carrying out the crime.

The men entered the store around 10.20pm on April 18 armed with an axe. They threatened a staff member with the weapon and stole cigarettes and money.

They cannot be identified via CCTV but officers hope to trace them via the man pictured.

West Midlands Police want any information on the man in the CCTV image so they can question him about the armed robbery.
