Court for Smethwick man who posed as a police officer on dating website
A man who allegedly harassed a 27-year-old woman after pretending to be a police officer on a dating website was appearing in court today.

Mohammed Shamrez Ali, from Claremont Road, Smethwick, was arrested early yesterday morning.
The 24-year-old has been charged with harassment without violence and committing acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.
He was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today.
He was arrested after a 27-year-old woman claimed she had been harassed by a man, who said he was a police officer, after meeting him online.
