Murder probe after Smethwick street fight
A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found seriously injured in a Black Country street.

Emergency services were called to Brook Street in Smethwick after the 52-year-old was found following a large disturbance.
He was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Five people – three women aged 46, 39 and 16 and two men aged 46 and 40 – have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and were being questioned by police. They are known to the victim.
The man was found in the street in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A post mortem was taking place this afternoon to establish the cause of death.
Officers want to hear from anyone who saw a disturbance on the street between 10.30pm on Wednesday and 12.15am yesterday. Brook Street was closed yesterday between Crocketts
Lane and Victoria Park Road while forensic inquiries were ongoing. The street was open today, but a cordon remained on Brook Street, where police were continuing to carry out inquiries.
