Four offenders burst into H and T Pawnbrokers in the West Cross shopping centre, in Oldbury Road, just after 9am on June 27.

They were armed with a pick axe and demanded cash from the staff. They then proceeded to steal jewellery worth thousands of pounds and ran out of the shop before getting into a sporty silver hatchback vehicle with blacked out windows and speeding off.

Dc Ryan Matthews, from Force CID, said: "This was a serious robbery and although the two shop workers were unhurt they were left very shaken by what happened.

"There would have been a number of people in the area at the time of this robbery, either on foot or driving by, who may have seen the suspects or the vehicle."
