Footage of fatal Smethwick stabbing is shown at Ben Morutare murder trial
CCTV footage of a man lunging towards stab death victim Ben Morutare has been shown to a jury at his murder trial.

The prosecution says the attacker, who is later seen being pulled away from the victim, is Andy Ly. Ben, aged 16, died just hours after being stabbed in the leg outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club in Smethwick last year.
Speaking as the footage was shown to the jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court, prosecutor Mr Michael Burrows QC said: "A man in light T-shirt and light trainers, thought to be Andy Ly, can be seen running from Fenton Street. "As he reaches the point where Ben Morutare is thought to be standing, he lunges towards him."
Det Con Chris Wischhusen explained the CCTV to the court. He said: "He lunges towards him, he continues to run and lunge towards Ben. He does not stop."
The court was shown CCTV footage allegedly showing Ly re-enter the Smethwick Old Guard and Comrades Club. He is wearing the same gillet but not the T-shirt he was allegedly wearing when he entered the club," said Mr Wischhusun.
"There is no T-shirt under that gillet. There is clearly no T-shirt. And if we go back to where he exited, you could quite clearly see that white short sleeve T-shirt."
Ben, of Holden Crescent, Coalpool, Walsall, and two friends were attacked outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club in the early hours of July 28 last year. Ben had been invited to a friend's 17th birthday party at the club. Ly, 18, of Fulmer Walk, and Omar Robinson, 19, of Rann Close, both Ladywood, deny murder.
They also deny violent disorder along with Jordan Campbell, 18, of Portland Road, Edgbaston; Kwamae Phillips, 18, of Gillott Road, Edgbaston; Tahj Mills, 18, of Waterside Street, West Bromwich; Tobias Blake, 20, of Kelsall Croft, Ladywood, and Aaron Parkins, 19, whose address cannot be reported for legal reasons.
The trial continues.
