Four appear in court over death of Walsall teenager
Four people were in court in connection with the death of Walsall 16-year-old Ben Morutare in Smethwick.
Ben, of Holden Crescent, Coalpool, was found stabbed outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club on July 28.
Two youths, both 17, denied violent disorder.
At Sandwell Magistrates Court another 17-year-old denied violent disorder and perverting the course of justice, namely concealing and then disposing of blood-stained clothing between July 28 and October 12.
They appeared yesterday alongside an 18-year-old, accused of violent disorder, who cannot be named after a court order banning publication of their personal details despite Express & Star representations.
The case was adjourned until January 2 for a committal hearing and all four given conditional bail.
A 17-year-old accused of murder has been remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 30.
