Professional Independent Advisers, better known as PIA, has confirmed it has recruited Tracey Garvey as its new mortgage relationship manager.

PIA business development & marketing manager Richard Bourne said: "Tracey has many years’ experience and will be a fantastic addition to the team having some years ago been an integral part of the hugely respected Tarmac Insurance brokerage which had its headquarters based here in Wolverhampton.

The new team will be headed up by Liz Monk who has been a senior adviser at Tettenhall Road-based PIA for more than 25 years.

Liz will continue her role as a senior financial consultant but will, in addition, lead the new department applying her wealth of mortgage experience which stems back to her days with former Wolverhampton building society Birmingham Midshires, in the early 1980s.

They will be working with experienced pair Debbie Blower, who will continue in her role as senior mortgage manager and Alex Davidson as lead processor.

Richard Bourne added: "It will add up to what we believe will be a formidable mortgage proposition integrating fully into our already successful wealth management division."

Set up in 1987 as an independent financial advisory company, PIA Wealth Management remains privately owned and has advised thousands of clients over the past three decades.
